Spooky Whimsy Quilts
The seasonal quilt for this year is called "Spooky Spools". I had a charm pack I did not know what I was going to do with them. Well here is is finished. It was a bit lacking for background so I did some graphic work in those space. I guess I can label this as a mixed media quilt. Lots of spiders , spider nests and webs. I love my little whimsy Bats and Owls.
Here is a few from past years
On parade are my Halloween quilts.
Just a seasonal jaunt I enjoy doing during the fall.
This wall quilt was given to my G.Grandson this year for his Fourth Birthday. Just the right Theme for his age.
A couple of years ago I found the pattern and fabric. Graphic great for the season. Nice thoughts of when we were kids in a small rural town in new England.
This was crazy
This was nowhere near what I had planned to do with the fabric with the cats and dog animal toss.
A pattern did not work out so I had to come up with a plan to use the fabric. The results......!
Window pane. "Halloween Party" We looking from the out side in. These are party animals. We have ghost owls outside in the quilting. They are a bit hard to see in the photo. What do you expect from ghosts! but there there in the bright blue night background. I free motioned my label in the top corner. Free motioned the wood look on the frame and used embroidery stitches in the crazies. Finishing off the quilt border with prairie points.
Thats it for this year!
Heading into the studio to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas quilts.
