Hey! I have a new bag. Another redesigned bag for my every day use. Of course I have plenty of extra nooks and crannies to carry all the "stuff"
One of the things I did do is, some free motion thread work on each side of the bag. At this point I only used some 30 wt thread as it would not get lost in this material. The bag has all that I needed for security; I love my inserted zipper across the opening. I also added some decorative little pieces around the strap fold. Those strap were just too difficult to sew so many folded edges. lastly I put on a fabric covered button from the same material of the lining.
Phew! I really did have small scrap piece left to make the button happen.
I will make another bag with different fabric the next round of bag making and do some more free motion stitching.
