First Art Quilt for 2019

A transformation from beginnings to finished product.  "The Hike" was a nice walk from computer to paper to fabric  and finally ending with threads, tulle and a bit of yarn.

There was a composition change in the photo before it went onto paper.

The biggest challenge was to produce rays of light hitting subjects and going thru the air. I feel like it was accomplished. I thought I would add a little whimsy by placing a critter to the piece. 

Bear in mine,  heehee, I see things around the corner of this Art quilt walk. 

This piece in hour wise took about two weeks of  give or take four hour days.

I have new art quilts ready to be started. Now which one shall I work on next! I have a lot of new projects to work on and some of them will be additions to the handmade bags section. I hope to have a new product to go along with the handbags this year. One of the new product line will include  custom frame drum carry cases.These will be sold separately from the handbag section. I will be limiting my standard quilt making and focusing more towards the Art quilts and the other products. You think this is enough work for an eight hour a day job.....
